Main Street Strong
Covid hit every small business around the globe. But the restaurants of Main Street showed the world what it meant to be resilient and strong. And DoorDash helped them become even stronger.
We created the Main Street Strong initiative, an effort to support and highlight small businesses on the DoorDash platform. Below are some of their stories.

A dash in every state
Only a few weeks into my gig at DoorDash, I got an email from the founder, Tony Xu. And that email was basically just a forwarded email from Mike, a Dasher who wanted to complete a Dash in every state and asked if we could support. So I threw together a production crew and hit the road*.

Stimulus checks were cashed. The world was opening up again. And Dasher supply was at an all-time low.
So we turned around a broadcast spot within days to urge anyone, everyone to dash now.
NBA x DoorDash
When it comes to the NBA Finals, the mood is real. And as official partners of the NBA,
DoorDash wanted to show there was food for every mood.

We wanted to show support for our man, Bubba Wallace. In about as much time as a pit stop, I wrote a spot for Bubba that aired during the Daytona 500, celebrating Black History Month and the Black drivers who paved the way for Wallace.
Happy HALidays
We know that most of the gig workers use the gig as a side hustle. And DoorDash wanted to celebrate all the wonderful things our Dashers did in between the dash. Like Hal, who happens to a successful jazz musician (who used money from Dashing to fund a studio album). We worked with Hal to create a wonderful little Holiday ditty.
